5 out of 5 starsThis is a wonderful pattern for making a vest for autism that is not over $100 like the ready made ones. I had some trouble finding weights since Amazon uses exterior measure rather than interior but a trip to Tractor Supply got me all ready to go! I did use some light interfacing on the weight pocket and the lower back of the lining to hopefully prevent stretching out the fabric. I think that when I make the second one I will make the velcro just a hair shorter than the vest width so there is not a double thickness of it after seaming the front. I did not use buttons but added 2 snaps above the weighted area. My daughter has 2 students who will receive these vests and hopefully reap all the benefits of the weight.
